Service Desk Support Engineer 

London, EC2A (with occasional travel to customer sites) 

£30,000 + £2,000 On-Call Allowance Plus Pension & Private Healthcare (after probation period) 

Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing consultancy, managed service and infrastructure providers with solutions ranging from Unified Communications to Network and Cloud Computing. 

They are now looking for a Service Desk Support Engineer with a professional outlook to join their team and provide first and second line support to customers. 

As a Service Desk Support Engineer, you will: 

- Log support queries and ensure issues are resolved in-line with SLAs 

- Carry out tasks in-line with ITIL principles 

- Maintain and promote a good customer service culture 

- Interact with and support the activities of other Service Desk team members 

- Take part in an on-call rota to provide support out of UK business hours 

- Visit customer sites to provide support and assist with projects 

Interested? If so, you will need: 

- At least two years’ experience in a service desk environment 

- CCNA qualified (CCNA routing and Switching) 

- Good network troubleshooting skills 

- Experience of diagnostics and troubleshooting desktop hardware and software issues 

- Previous experience of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook 

- Experience of hardware installations, including routers, servers, racks, patch panels, UPS and structured CAT cabling 

- Experience of setting up and managing Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and/or 2010 

- Operating system knowledge, including Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 

- VMware ESXi implementation and management experience
