Position: Lead Service Designer

Location: London

Salary: Up to £75,000 + 15% Flexible Benefits Package

My client are seeking to recruit an experienced Service Design Lead to join their design team, working between the stakeholders and the design professionals. As a large consultancy, you will be working on enterprise projects for some huge public sector and financial sector clients.

You will support multidisciplinary teams by facilitating new and useful ideas for services or service improvements, working closely with researchers, analysts and developers to iteratively improve services for users.

As a service designer you will;

* Analyst failure within service and identify root causes for that failure

* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement within an existing service

* Understand user needs and identify where separate interactions with government should act as one service that meet that need

* Arrange these separate interactions into rational user journeys within that service

* Look for commonalities in activities across services where products could be made

* Create and rapidly iterate service prototypes

* Support delivery planning to develop options for delivery of new solutions

Essential skills;

* Assess a service and give constructive feedback

* Put forward the case for design with a product manager

* Collaborate on designs with a developer

* Engage the whole multidisciplinary team with the design process

* Lead and design and facilitate workshops with users and stakeholders
