This company is looking for a QA professional to join their test organization in their Cambridge office. You will be helping to assure the highest quality of changes made to their virtualization-based security product as well as helping identify any risks in their SDLC. You will be working as part of their small Monitoring and Attack Visualization team and the position will largely involve automated testing, Python scripting and some manual testing as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem investigation and technical communication skills. You'll be detailed oriented, have an enthusiasm for testing complex software and, although knowledge of security vulnerabilities would be a bonus, it isn't essential. They would really like to hear from you if you have an interest in security, are willing to learn and are ready to take the next step in your career.

In return, you'll be joining a pre-IPO company with massive potential. Your work and efforts will matter. They offer a generous benefits package and promote flexible working, so although you may need to attend team stand ups, they don't have set core hours and you can enjoy the freedom that comes with this. They have an informal working environment and a huge mix of personalities make up their growing team.

Job Responsibilities:

- Plan, design and write automated tests for new features and product bug regressions

- Monitor and help maintain the automated tests system, cooperating with DevOps and Developers

- Write, maintain and execute manual test cases for the few areas where automated testing isn't appropriate

- Collaborate with QA engineers in other teams testing cross-team features during development

- Debug and troubleshoot issues uncovered during testing

- Filing of defects accurately with detailed information that aids resolution

Job Requirements:

- Prior experience of working in a software QA team

- Knowledge of feature and regression testing

- Professional Python scripting in a commercial capacity

- Understanding of Windows OS

The following skills and attributes are a plus:

- An interest in software security and the techniques used by malware and hackers

- Experience of test automation frameworks

- Understanding and experience of virtualization

- Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent
