KCOM are currently recruiting for a Test Analyst, to work from our Ipswich office.
The Senior Tester, part of our Design & Development Team, provides effective test consultancy skills to enable successful delivery of projects to time, budget, quality and scope. You will be working on various end to end projects and will be adaptable in your approach.
What will I be doing?
As Senior Tester, you will be responsible for the execution and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations. Testing includes the process of engineering, using and maintaining testware (test cases, test scripts, test reports, test plans, etc) to measure and improve the quality of the software being tested.
You'll be responsible for the creation of test cases using in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability).
You'll need to create traceability records, from test cases back to requirements. In your role you will produce test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services, specifying requirements for environment, data, resources and tools. You will be a key driving force within the projects, leading and mentoring Junior team members.
What do I need to do this job?
You will have strong Test Lead experience gained from working in a diverse range of projects and environments, teamed with the below skills:
* Hands on testing experience
* Automation experience
* Experience of using test management tools such as Soap UI and Selenium
* Working knowledge of Agile
* Strong experience with test execution and test creation
* Exceptional customer facing skills
* A delivery focused attitude with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines
* The ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of people both internally and externally to the organisation
* Problem solving ability
* ISTQB Foundation Level in Test

What are my hours of work?
You'll be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
