Proteus Europe is searching for a Java developer to join a support project for a prestigious client located in Antwerp, Belgium. This is a contract position set to run until the end of 2018.

Our Client :-

Our client is an international consultancy with a reputation for delivering on projects with their consultancy customers. You will join and be part of their team to ensure this current project is a complete success.

Your New role :-

Corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the installed insurance solution.

The job is to be an intermediary between the software solution package and the insurance company for the qualification of the bugs of the software solution, the Follow-up of the bugs, test the corrections before the production starts.

Your role:

- Qualification of anomalies reported by the operations team.

- Reproduce the bugs in the client environment.

- Propose technical solutions for the anomalies reported.

- Make bug fixes integration tests.

- Accompany the customer to express needs and propose technical solutions.

Your Skills and Qualifications :-

Essential Skills :-

- Experience with application development:

- Object-oriented programming

- Java / JEE

- Spring, and Spring Batch

- Hibernate

- ECLIPSE RCP Framework

- Web services SOAP

- SQL

- SOA architecture

- Language: Dutch and/or French, English is mandatory.

Desirable Skills :-

Nice to have:

- Experience with Jira

- Experience in the insurance industry

Know-How :

- Methodology

- Rigorous

- Analytical capabilities

- Logical and critical spirit
