A Unix based Application Support specialist is required by this profitable financial institution. As part of a talented application support team you will monitor and manage business critical 24x7 Real Time data applications and work with other support groups to ensure availability of services. This is a broad-skilled group requiring knowledge of UNIX/Linux, application and performance monitoring, SQL (Sybase, SQL Server or Oracle), strong communication skills with a customer service focus (ITIL) and experience of supporting banking and financial market data applications (eg Reuters, Bloomberg). It is a friendly team, lead by knowledgeable, technical managers who rate communication skills and customer service as highly as technical ability.
