Senior Network Engineer - Leicestershire - Permanent - £55,000

I am looking for an extremely competent experienced Network Engineer who would like to join a highly successful Service Provider based in Leicestershire who can offer excellent development, career opportunities and exposure to the latest cutting edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide your network engineering skills to a multitude of different projects. Project engineering tasks will include the design, configuration and commissioning of network installations for their clients. This will include the pre-sales technical support to support the sales teams bidding for new business. Additional tasks include the management of data centres and core network, working with the first and second line network engineers.
Responsibilities also include:
*Design, build, and commissioning LANs and WANs
*Configure and deploy network infrastructure hardware
*Pre-sales technical support
*Running and leading networking projects
*Providing high level and detailed network diagrams
*Managing and maintaining core network and data centres
The Ideal candidate
Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, confident communication skills, organisation skills, and commitment to first class customer service. Candidates should have a good understanding of networking and telecommunications protocols and practices. Also, proven experience of designing, deploying and supporting network functions such as switching, routing, wireless networks, application load balancing, virtual private networking and network management tools. Much of the role will be spent running and managing networking projects, therefore a good understanding of project management principles would be ideal. Experience of working for a managed network provider is highly desirable.
