Senior DevOps Engineer

My client need help build their team of highly intelligent and capable DevOps Engineers. Based in Manchester city centre his is a unique and highly technical role, requiring extensive experience with continuous integration, Amazon Web Services, networking etc. You will need to have strong communication skills as team work is key.

Responsibilities

* Work with the engineering teams to improve, expand, in some cases define, our builds, deployments and infrastructure

* Experience building infrastructure to detect problems and performance of servers etc

* Strong hands-on experience technical expert in the DevOps

* Experience scaling infrastructure that interacts with 3rd party services

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

* Experience with very strong, large scale AWS automation/autoscaling/failover

* AWS Services (EC2, ELB, Elastic Cache Cluster, DynamoDB, Kinesis, AutoScaling, SNS, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, OpsWorks, Cloud Formation, Cloud Front, IAM with Cross account policies, AWS CLI)

* Experience with Chef is critical

* Ruby and Bash experience

* Large-volume consumer web infrastructure and security experience

* Experience building and managing a continuous integration environment such as Jenkins, Hudson, CircleCI or TravisCI

* Linux experience including experience with shell scripting, networking, storage and release management

* Experience working with Github

* Serverless Framework

* Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

* Strong communication skills to interact with Agile team members
