About the role
As Cloud Infrastructure Developer, you will take a technical role in the Azure workstream, enabling BP’s use of Azure public cloud services. Working within a self-organising team, you’ll play a part in continuously improving cloud infrastructure services by devising key metrics that measure improvements and enhance delivery. You’ll champion the use of quality products and services, becoming an advocate for the continual refinement of the team’s ‘definition of done’. What you’ll do
As a technical expert, the primary purpose of this role be to will ensure that core IaaS products and underpinning services such as access management, network, patching, monitoring and back up are automated to self-service for other internal and supplier support teams to access. You will also take responsibility for:
Hands on development, design and implementation of Azure, market provided or write our own integration technology and tooling to facilitate consumption of Azure services
Writing minimal documentation sets for other team members or customers
Working in a co-located agile team using two week sprints
Working closely with internal IT customers to ensure they can meet their goals for cloud consumption
Working with operations team to automate manual processes or meet operational acceptance criteria
What you need
BSc Computing
Microsoft MTA/MCSA/MCSE in Azure
Windows/Linux operating system accreditation or equivalent experience
Experience in Azure services; Azure Resource Manager; IaaS, Storage, IAM, Networking
Azure PaaS/SaaS services
Understanding of Agile and DevOps cultural practises
Experience in C# and PowerShell against Azure API, Functions/Runbook, ARM
System Centre Stack; SCCM, SCORCH, SCSM, SCOM, DPM
Azure Portal/OMS
TFS Build and Test rigs
Windows and Linux operating systems; PowerShell and Shell scripting
Automated testing
