Technical Architect - Contract - Leeds - £400/day - Remote options

One of my clients, a leading consultancy within the logistics / transport industry are looking for a technical architect / solutions architect to come up with a detailed technical specification for a major design project they have for one of their major clients.

They are creating a major interface to connect one of their products into their clients major systems, but need to write and create a very detailed and specific design specification. They have the technical understanding of what they need to do, but need someone that is able to work with the development team and translate that into a very detailed design specification that they can provide to their end client.

Key things that they need:

* A strong technical architect with a proven track record of creating original specifications themselves

* The ability to follow a strict structure/brief for the specification

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* A strong technical understanding to speak closely with the development team

* Ideally some experience working in a Microsoft environment (it is a .Net web application they are using)

* Ideally some experience on messaging or communication systems that interface with other systems - being an architect on a similar product would definitely be beneficial

The role is based in city centre Leeds with on site parking and easily walkable from the train station. They are also happy to offer a day or two remote after a few initial weeks on site.

They need someone initially for 10 weeks to get this specification out, however this will almost certainly go further if they get the go ahead to take it to the development stage. So an extension is quite likely.

The start date is the 12th March though they could wait a week for the right person. They are looking to pay around the £400/day mark for the right candidate.
