Lead Risk Modelling Analyst

Cheltenham

Role Summary:

The person in this role is essential in building the economic view (including the risks) of the deal. This is achieved by completing all the modelling activities and providing support for the Inquiry to Order (ITO) team on Contractual Service Agreements (CSA), Performance Based Logistics (PBL) and fixed price offerings. Also involves definition, management, and execution of risk management and modelling activities in support of the contract or project; including estimating processes and activities to support offers and project reviews. In order to do this, they are required to lead cross functional teams, as well as understand technical risk presented by the product and cost risk presented by the business and market conditions (including supply chain).

Essential Responsibilities:

* Responsible for providing direct support for Commercial Operations for modelling and data analysis of offerings, including risk management via the 650.10 (deal review) process.

* Responsible for cost and reliability data analysis, running/creating models, and solving complex modelling issues. Act as the expert modelling resource with a thorough understanding of the interrelationship of costs, pricing, reliability, contract terms and conditions, technology business rules, and related financial accounting.

* Improve processes by recommending, driving and implementing change to the tools, techniques, etc.

* Is involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working.

* Contributes to plan of larger unit.

* Communicates across direct organization.

* Presents to senior leaders (EB and SEB) on cross functional teams, contributing to overall strategy.

* Diverse global clients in both the military and civilian space.

* Follows frameworks to get through the processes.

* Supports negotiating and addresses client specific conditions.

* A core responsibility is to evaluate the performance of high risk services contracts.

Qualifications / Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of experience in Services of some form).

* Experienced with advanced MS Excel skills (including VBA).

* Utilizes Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) and other statistical methodologies in creating models.

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

* Ability to influence others and lead small teams.

* Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.

* Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

* Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
