First-Line Technical Support Analyst

£32,700- £35,349 (depending on skills and experience)

London

You live for technology.

You create and innovate.

You safeguard our nation.

MI6 is the UK's foreign human intelligence agency. In our world, sophisticated technology and innovative techniques enable global covert operations. These strengthen our approach to gathering secret intelligence overseas. And our culture is where creativity, curiosity, insight and intuition are used to face ever-evolving challenges. To ensure we remain ahead of the game, we're looking for the country's brightest First Line Technical Support Analysts.

The role

As part of this essential support team, you’ll be on the frontline helping our officers in the UK and across the globe with any technical difficulties. Whether it’s service desk support, IT operations or IT service management, you’ll be collaborative and calm under pressure. While the majority of work is based in London, there may be opportunities to travel abroad and provide on-site support. Plus, you’ll work with shift teams to promote a round-the-clock service. This will allow us to respond efficiently to urgent matters and help safeguard the nation.

About you

You’ll bring a natural curiosity for emerging technologies and an aptitude for seeking out new ways to streamline our processes. With IT qualifications and customer service experience - preferably linked to the ITIL frameworks - you’ll be able to explain complex, technical matters in a clear, concise way.

Apply

Our roles are as individual as you are. Find out more and apply via our website by clicking the APPLY button.

To apply to MI6 you must be a born or naturalised British citizen, over 21 years old and normally have been based in the UK for six of the last ten years. You should not discuss your application with anyone other than your partner or a close family member providing that they are British. They should also be made aware of the importance of discretion.

MI6 strives for diversity in the workplace and is committed to the creation and maintenance of a climate in which all staff are treated fairly on the grounds of merit and ability.
