PMO Manager Coventry

My client based in Coventry is looking to hire a PMO manager to join a market leading organisation to help set up a new PMO function.

This is a newly created role and will see you having responsibilities for the Configuration and Document Manager, the Schedule and RAID Manager and the PMO Administrator.

The PMO manger will be expected to ensure that appropriate baselines are both established and maintained in the following areas: Cost, technical, service, schedule, commercial, risk. You will be expected to provide deliverable tracking throughout the Transition, Service Delivery and Transformation phases of the programme. In the areas of schedule, risk, change, document management, deliverable tracking, programme reporting and PMO budgets the PMO Manager will be directly accountable for the outputs.

The PMO Manager will be expected to undertake the following:

*Support t in the development of a robust project plan and associated project management documentary deliverables for the Transition and subsequent Programme phases.

*Fully Resource loaded Project Plans and detailed Risk, Assumption, Issue and Dependency logs

*Estimates of Resource Effort to complete Project Activities and establishing and maintaining an Earned Value Management (EVM) baseline

*Provide day to day management of progress of the plan against an agreed baseline and initiating corrective action where necessary

*Making sure that Change is managed effectively and act as the Cost Account Manager

To be successful in this role you should have the following experience:

*Effective and proven management and leadership skills

*Of project delivery and project management in all aspects of the project lifecycle, ideally within outsourcing or managed support services environment

*Demonstrable experience and capability to manage projects autonomously

*Experience in managing deliverables in a high profile and technically innovative environment

*Experience in the management of projects to budgetary constraints and where effective change control has been incorporated

*Project Management experience & training (PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent)

*Knowledge of ITIL service management framework principles

*Experience of working within a PMO function, either as a lead or across a number of different PMO functional areas (Change, Risk)

*Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

In return for your skills my client is offering generous salary between £50000 and £55000 as well as an excellent benefits package which includes but is not limited to 34 days annual, flexible working. Healthcare, on site parking and up to 14 per cent pension!
