Finance Analyst

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance SME to join a leading UK bank in Edinburgh and support a large programme within the change team. This is an initial 6 month project, with a high chance of extension, paying up to £350/day.

The Finance SME/Analyst will support the analysis work on a project to clean up and deliver improvements to the Finance Ledgers and related processes. The role holder will be required to work across multiple divisions to complete the analysis on the key process issues, developing the business requirements and solutions to refine the data on the finance systems.

Essential skillset

* Qualified Accountant

* A proven background within banking/financial services

* Strong experience in the use of Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots etc)

* Systems experience: SAP General Ledger

* Excellent analysis skills covering data gathering and analysis, requirements documentation, root cause analysis, documentation of solution options and business process re-design.

* The ability to understand and solve complex issues and assess the impact of proposed solutions on the business.
