The Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) is seeking an enthusiastic and customer focussed individual to join their Service Desk team and take ownership for providing 1st and 2nd line support to IT users across the organisation.

As a Service Desk Analyst, your support will contribute to ensuring that our technology enables us to promote competition in the UK and internationally, and for the CMA to be a world leader among competition and consumer agencies. This role suits anyone with a keen interest in IT Support, looking to develop new skills and progress their career in IT, within a progressive and forward thinking Government department.

In the role of Service Desk Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

           Operation of a Service Desk facility for users by providing desktop and application support;

           Resolving IT Support issues, aiming to resolve as many calls as possible as the first point of contact;

           Escalating requests internally and with third parties, keeping users updated at all times;

           Responding to "How do I.." queries.

With experience of working in a support or customer facing role, you’ll offer proven knowledge of Microsoft Desktop operating systems, in addition to end-user provisioning of laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

Strong organisation skills, the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work at pace, coupled with a proven interest in IT support services will round off your profile.
