Job Title: Video Helpdesk/Presales Engineer

Location: Thatcham

Salary on offer dependent on experience; c£22K-£26k + benefits

Experience: Networking / Helpdesk / CCNA / VC / AV / IP Telephony

Our client is a market leader in the field of video communication and offers video conferencing installations, integrated audiovisual solutions, cloud video/audio and video streaming applications for blue chip companies; they manage the customer experience from pre-sales, site survey, through to post sales maintenance and support. There is now a vacancy for an office based Video Helpdesk / Presales Engineer to join the team.

The successful candidate will be involved with the following;

*Technical support for dealers and end-users by phone, video and email.

*Presales support for resellers and our internal sales team

*Monitoring, managing and responding to support tickets within published SLAs.

*Operation and maintenance of the video helpdesk.

*Providing in-house support for field installation engineers (occasionally off-site)

*Locating products to assist field operations.

*New product evaluation.

*Occasional in-house testing/inspection of suspected faulty products.

Working with an exciting and varied portfolio of products, this is a terrific opportunity to get exposed to different technologies in the video and audio communications market. Strong prospects are on offer for your career development and further training too.

To be considered for the position, ideally you will offer some experience in an IT support or helpdesk capacity, though we are open to applicants without this. More important is your interest in video communications, and ability to grasp technical concepts.

A CCNA qualification or other networking qualification would be advantageous.

Desirable skills would include the ability to fault find remotely, and familiarity with procedures involving AV or video streaming products.

*Polycom Video and Audio products

*IP based networking and products

*H.323 and SIP protocols

*Microsoft Skype for Business / Office365

*Microsoft Operating Systems

*Linux Operating System

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively, be inquisitive and probing, together with a focus on excellent customer relations. You will take a precise and careful approach to your work, working to high standards and taking responsibility for solving problems.

Working hours: Mon-Fri 9.00am-5.30pm. Benefits include 25 days holiday and pension
