Location - Bristol

Salary - Dependant on experience

We are working with a leading technology company in the consumer electronics market based in Bristol. Due to continued expansion they require a Technical Author to work alongside their engineering teams.

As Technical Author your main duties will include:

-assessment of the audience and nature of the documentation

-research and gather information required

-understand the technology for which documentation is to be prepared

-presenting end-user information to a high standard

The ideal candidate:

-Degree qualified in Communications, English, IT or Journalism

-Previous experience in a similar role

-Excellent communication and organisation skills

-A strong interest in electronics and technology (ideally Embedded Software and Systems)

-The ability to express instructions clearly

Experience in any of the following software skills would also be highly desirable - HTML, XML, LaTeX, RST, Sphinc JavaScript, Python or GraphViz
