Project Controllers work at the heart of our Project Management activity, providing service and support to our Integrated Project Development Teams (IPDT). The key focus of the role is to work closely with Engineering Project Managers, to support the planning, monitoring, reporting and control activities for each project. The role is also expected to act as a focal point to provide guidance and support to the project team to ensure the proper application and compliance of standard project management tools and processes.

Essential responsibilities

* Use and embed standard Project Management tools, processes and templates across all phases of a project.

* Assist in the development of Project Management Plans during the initial stages of a project.

* Work with the IPDT to develop and baseline a robust integrated project schedule, to ensure successful delivery against customer milestones and agreed budget.

* Work with functional teams to establish the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and assist with defining Control Accounts and Work Packages associated with the WBS.

* Work with the functional teams to identify resource supply and demand requirements for each of the activities within the integrated project schedule and WBS.

* Work with the IPDT to monitor and manage project performance against approved project baseline.

* Manage project costs, monitor against approved project budget, and produce forecast and variance reports.

* Record and track project scope changes, identify the impact on schedule, costs and resources, and drive appropriate actions to support a robust project change control process.

* Establish and maintain a project Risk & Opportunity Register, track and drive mitigation actions, hold regular reviews and promote active management of factored reserves.

* Manage formal project and meeting action trackers and drive actions to resolution within agreed deadlines.

* Maintain live and anticipated project information and ensure project tollgate information is kept up to date.

* Support accurate resource supply and demand reporting, using standard templates and regular forecast reviews.

* Support the production and analysis of project data and metrics, to include critical path analysis, earned value management, cost run rates and baseline variance reporting.

* Generate management information and regular progress reports, in line with the defined Operating Rhythm and project review processes.

* Collate financial data, resource needs, and other essential information, to support the Bids & Proposals process.

Qualifications:

* Relevant business related knowledge and experience.

* Experience in project control and planning tools (Microsoft Project or equivalent).

* Experience in Earned Value Management and Cost Analysis would be beneficial.
