In this position you will play a vital role protecting sensitive financial information from cyber threats and attacks, within an era in which cyber crime, hacking and fraud are at an all time high.

You will be responsible for the development of IT risk and information security strategy; creating action plans and policy for all other employees of the organisation to adhere to in aid of data and business information protection.

In this role you will provide leadership of then successful implementation, development and execution of all security operations; maximising the resilience to risk and breaches.

To be considered for this role you must have experience of a similar undertaking within a banking/ financial services environment! This is because you must also have an in-depth understanding of various established financial security standards and controls.

Competencies, skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the role:

Essential:

*Significant experience of leading, developing and implementing risk and information security strategy and policy

*A full understanding and experience of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and Information Security Standard (ISO 27001) controls

*An in-depth technical understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows environments

*Good Understanding of the IT architecture and functional landscape of the IT environment, along with comprehensive knowledge to overarch with the KPIs of Information Security Monitoring

*Excellent communication skills

Academic and/or professional qualifications:

*A CISSP certification is essential

*A certification in Information Security Manager (CISM) and/ or Information Systems Auditing (CISA) would be advantageous

You must also be available for occasional travel to other branches of the company nationwide throughout the UK.
