Investment Analyst - Renewable Energy

London

Up to £55,000 + 20% bonus + benefits

We are looking for an Analyst to join a one of the leading Renewable Energy Developers in Europe. The company have an international presence with over $200b of assets under management worldwide and own and operate over 20,000MW of renewable generation assets globally.

My clients' structure allows Analysts to be highly autonomous in their roles, creating an entrepreneurial and fluid environment, while working closely with other teams on potential acquisitions, investment and operating strategy.

Job Description

The successful candidate will sit within a small Market Research team, working closely with the M&A team, the European operating business, as well as other macro and commodity analysts to provide advice on:

* Power market trends and developments in target regions

* Projections for wholesale electricity prices and other key indicators of business performance in existing and target markets

* Revenue outlooks and risk assessments for acquisition opportunities

* Regulatory structures and mechanics

* The evolution of political and regulatory landscape

The candidate will also be responsible for:

* Working with external consultants

* Maintaining dashboards and keeping up to date with key market indicators

* Contributions to key regulatory submissions

* Presentations to other teams and senior management

To be considered for this role you will need:

* The ability to research, synthesize and critically assess market data and trends

* The ability to perform quantitative analysis with keen attention to detail

* Excellent economic judgment and business sense

* Ability to argue, summarize and illustrate analyses in a convincing, accessible format

* Ability to prioritize and deliver in a multi-project, fast-paced environment

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

* Understanding of competitive power markets or other energy and commodity markets
