About Wheeve

Wheeve helps organisations build and run high-performance, cost-effective systems integration. We have decades of collective experience of delivering integration solutions, and we know the most effective way to analyse, design, build and support solutions to the most challenging of problems.

To support our growth we are looking for an Integration Developer to join or growing integration development competency.

Our vision as a company is to provide three core propositions:

1.To provide high quality consulting services to support organisations in building world-class systems integration teams;

2.To offer implementation services to clients, enabling us to deliver integration solutions for clients;

3.To build and run integration platforms for our clients based on cloud and open source technology, offering a complete outsourced integration solution.

Why should you want to join us?

At Wheeve we’re passionate about delivering business value by connecting our clients’ systems together with middleware.

This means that for our developers there are interesting and challenging problems that need creative solutions, such as how to make seemingly incompatible systems work together to form a cohesive solution.

A typical project can require our developers to confront the integration task at both a high- and low-level perspective; not only is there plenty of opportunity to get into the low-level details of data formats, protocols and transactions, but also frequently a requirement to focus on the business problem, implementing solutions using low code integration tools with WYSIWIG editors.

Modern integration tools remove a lot of the heavy lifting of coding for many common integration tasks, and some developers are turned off by this abstraction, but in our experience this simply enables the easy stuff to be delivered quickly, allowing us to focus on the more complex, challenging and interesting requirements.

A great integration developer must have a broad skill set and a good understanding of the whole IT landscape. Whether that means interfacing with databases, containerising an integration platform, developing microservices, mobile-facing APIs, or binary debugging an arcane mainframe protocol.

We think integration is the most fascinating part of IT, and with our clients increasingly buying cloud services, the demand for our services has never been higher.

Joining Wheeve you will work with a highly skilled team of engineers, architects, consultants and project managers, in a collaborative and high-performance environment that will take your career to the next stage.

A solid technical background is essential, but above that we are looking for client-focused problem solvers; people who will analyse requirements, considering all aspects of a situation, to identify the most appropriate solution. You will be committed to investing in the development of your career with drive and curiosity to continuously learn new skills and investigate new technologies. We will provide a supportive environment with training, certification, coaching and on-the-job experience to support your development.
