After recent years of very successful and structured growth, this modern and progressive organisation are seeking to enhance the IT Infrastructure Support by recruiting a challenge motivated IT Technician who will enhance their 1st and 2nd line support function.

As the IT Technician you will be responsible for IT systems (hardware and software) maintenance, installation and operational support.

You will coexist in a strong IT infrastructure services team supporting a UK wide IT infrastructure.

You will be required to play your part taking on your responsibilities with enthusiasm and not be fearful of the challenges that will exist in this dynamic and busy environment.

Your Key Responsibilities will involve:

* Provide 1st and 2nd Line Helpdesk Support to employees relating to PC hardware, MS Windows, MS Office, printers and telephones, escalating where needed.

* Provide daily checks of the systems and backups.

* Configuration and deployment of new equipment.

* Update systems and install new Software as and when required.

* Diagnose, troubleshoot and correct problems within systems.

* Assist in the development and implementation of procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.

* Escalate functional and technical issues as appropriate to relevant business representatives.

* Keep operational documents up to date.

* Maintain Security of Systems and data in line with the Information Security Policy

* Out-of-hours working is occasionally required

* Maintaining users within an AD Environment.

* Attend any training sessions designed to enhance or refresh your skills and knowledge as requested.

* Provide basic training to new and existing staff as required.

Essential Skills:

* Strong range of IT skills including troubleshooting/maintaining Operating Systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and hardware/technical skills (build/diagnose/repair).

* Experience with MAC OS Upgrades, Troubleshooting and Maintaining.

* Experience of working in an Office Environment.

* Basic knowledge of Networking (IP/DNS/DHCP)

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 through to 10
