Are you looking for new IT Technician / Support position that offers a great work-life balance?
If so, this vacancy for an IT Technician may be your ideal next role! The IT Technician will be working onsite based in Abingdon and also travel to various sites in the south of Oxfordshire providing technical support and great customer service and training. The IT Technician is a varied and technical role in which you, as the new IT Technician will gain training and exposure to a variety of technologies, from Windows Server to hardware to fixing networking and firewall issues.
The company has various IT Support contracts with sites around Oxfordshire, and the role of IT Technician is to visit these sites and provide IT consultancy, maintenance, support, and training. It’s a stimulating and exciting job that that will see you working in friendly environments whilst at the same time offering a challenging blend if technical issues to deal with!
The IT Technician will ideally have a proven track record of fault diagnosis and resolution of problems relating to:
Windows OS 7/8/10
Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 (Active Directory - DHCP - DNS - GPO - Imaging - Virtualisation)
Apple technology (iOS / iPad/ iPod / MacBook / iMac / Mac Server / Apple TV)
Hardware (laptop screens, keyboards, RAM, HDD, PSU, motherboard etc)
Software (MS Office 2010/2013 / 2016)
Networking (LAN - Switches - Wireless - TCP/IP - Proxies)
AV equipment (projectors / sound systems / interactive whiteboards and screens)
Backup and Antivirus (Sophos)
Internet / Firewall / Web filtering
Shared printing systems
The IT Technician positon comes along with some great benefits, including:
Annual salary up to £24,000 (based on experience)
55 days holiday (including bank holidays)
35 hours per week full time position - 8am - 4pm daily
Overtime payments for any holiday work (i.e. installations)

We are ideally looking for local candidates who are able to drive. Commutable locations include Abingdon, Didcot, Oxford, Witney, Swindon, Reading, Newbury, Thame, High Wycombe, Bicester and many more!
The IT Technician position is suitable to a range of candidates from IT Apprentices to 2nd Line Support Analysts. Other suitable candidate include 1st Line Support, Helpdesk / Serve Desk Analysts, ICT Technicians, Technical Consultants or Engineers, IT Trainers and many more!
