Database Administrator | MySQL | Oracle | DBA

Daily Rate: £500-£525 Negotiable DOE

Duration: Initial 3 Months (Possible extension)

Location: Essex

Our client is seeking a DBA with MySQL experience required to work in a team environment providing an Oracle DBA (Database administrator) function.

Tasks -

*Design, configure and support database applications

*Work with Architects to translate high level vision into low level technical detail

*deliver subject matter expertise in one of the estates key technologies

*Provide support to Projects on how their database applications should be set up

*Provide live support to systems during core business hours

*Provide on call support to live systems when required outside core hours

Technologies -

*MySQL

*Unix, Windows Applications

*Scripting Tools

*Oracle

It is essential to have strong Technical Skills in MySQL

Skills -

*Excellent knowledge of an IT infrastructure and the IT lifecycle

*MS applications

*Oracle Grid Control

*RAC, RMAN

The successful candidate will have strong team working skills, excellent attention to detail, willingness to learn, and stakeholder management skills
