Proteus Europe is searching for 6 French and English speaking SAP ABAP developers for a 4 month extensions contract role based in Wavre, Belgium.

Our Client :-

Our client is an international consultancy with a reputation for delivering on projects with their consultancy customers. You will join and be part of their team to ensure this current project is a complete success.

Your New role :-

The developer will develop, test and document SAP applications according to the provided functional specifications with respect of agreed planning, Vx SAP development standards and Vx change management procedure. The development tool is the ABAP development framework. The developer will join the SAP Competency ABAP Development team and will work in a GxP controlled environment with high expectations in terms of quality.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

- The developer will develop new / maintain existing SAP functionalities / applications based on functional specifications given by the business analyst.

- The development will be done in order to maximize standardization and simplification.

- The developer will be able to challenge the functional specifications with respect to SAP rules and best practices.

- The developer will propose technical solutions to fulfill the functional requirements.

- The developer will write the technical program documentation in English.

- The developer will do unit testing of the code that he/she has developed.

- The developer will deliver in a timely manner SAP ABAP code according to the GSK Vx SAP

development standards and GSK Vx change management procedure.

- For planning purposes, the developer will estimate the effort required to develop the code which is requested to him/her.

- The developer will work closely as a team with the SAP functional analysts.

- The developer will work with the functional and/or business testers to reproduce issues and he/she will investigate and fix them.

- After project go-live, the developer will collaborate with the SAP support teams to analyze and fix any remaining issues.

Your Skills and Qualifications :-

Essential Skills :-

- General skills

o Quality minded.

o Right first time mindset.

o Ability to speak and write fluently in English. French is a plus.

o Strong analytical capability driven by standardization and simplification.

o Good team player.

- Mandatory SAP ABAP skills

o Must have extensive experience with ABAP and ABAP*Objects (object oriented methodology), SAPScripts and/or Smartforms.

Desirable Skills :-

Optional SAP ABAP skills but recommended

o Workflow

o Adobe Forms
