Proteus Europe is searching for some System Testers for one of our clients based in the heart of the Netherlands.

Our Client :-

Our client is an international logistics service provider expanding their operations across Europe and building on their existing stable growth in their market.

Your New role :-

What will be the day by day activities for the Tester...

You will be working in an international Test team according to the Test approach as is defined in our clients Test Policy and Master Test Plans/Testing Strategy Documents.

The Tester will be involved in setting up Requirement- and Test specifications in TestLink according to Business Requirement Documents or Functional Specifications.

The Tester will be involved in Test execution according to the workflow and records the results of the Test execution in TestLink including Evidence recording as Proof of testing.

For small projects we may ask the Tester to provide a Daily/Weekly Test Progress Report according to the used Standard within the Testing team.

Defects found during testing will be raised by the Tester in a Defect management tool (JIRA) and a proactive approach will be required from the Tester in issue follow up and attending defect meetings.

In end-2-end Test phase with a customer in projects the Tester will be communicating directly with testers from the customer and is expected to have communication skills at least on B2 level in English.

In general V-Model/Waterfall Model Methodology is used although it might happen that a project needs to be done according to the Agile/SCRUM Methodology.

Your Skills and Qualifications :-

Essential Skills :-

- Professional skills in using test tools and methods

- Capable of taking responsibility in the execution of testing activities within a project (Test specification, Test execution and Reporting)

- Good level of numeracy

- Good analytical and problem solving skills

- Good skills in working standard MS-Office applications like Outlook, Excel and Word

Desirable Skills :-

- TestLink

- JIRA

- ISTQB

- TMAP

- ITIL

- Ability to work on own initiative

- Good team working skills

- Good oral and written communication skills in English (desirable: and in a second European language like Dutch, French, German or Spanish)

- Ability to work well as part of a team and prioritize work

- Providing active input on improving Test process, Test Standards and Test methods
