Application Support Specialist, Manchester, Up to £35,000

A Global financial institute are looking for add some mid-senior level Technical Support Analyst' to their growing team. The support specialist will be responsible for business critical services by ensuring stability, continuity and availability of the company applications. The successful candidate will be very hands on and have the ability to work independently on incidents throughout their whole lifecycle.

What will the role include?

* Responsibility for technical solutions in a quick and efficient manner

* execution of all application related activities related to the day to day operations

* Ownership and prioritization of individual Incidents

* The delivery of documentation to agreed standards

* Available for shift work to cover the 24/7 support line

What will the candidate need?

* Strong experience in IT software support and/or development

* Excellent understanding of Oracle

* SQL Experience

* Basic experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting

* Experience in an ITIL environment

* An understanding of web technologies
