Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Nottingham - Permanent - £45,000

I am looking for an extremely competent and skilled 3rd/4th Line Support professional who would like to join a large organisation with offices all over the UK who can offer fantastic development opportunities and a clear career path within their group IT function.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of their technical architecture including supporting, configuration and problem solving of their entire IT Infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
?Identify trends to define proactive solutions and head off problems.
?Evaluate and report on suitability and feasibility of new systems and technology.
?Undertake the required subject matter expert role for both planning and implementing new initiatives.
?To assist and encourage the development of other members of the IT Team in terms of technical skills transfer
?Monitor and report upon risks and issues in terms of capacity planning and network operations
?Responsible for the operation and integrity of the firm's data backup solutions and to ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times

?Experience of VMware VSphere 5 and NetApp SAN technologies
?Experience of Windows Server configuration and administration (2003/2008 R2).
?Experience of Active Directory domain administration.
?Experience of Microsoft Exchange 2010.
?The successful candidate should have excellent knowledge of ITIL processes and have previously worked within an ITIL environment.
