SQL Developer/DBA

| Manchester City Centre |

|6 months Contract | £300 - £410 per day|

The Role

After recently acquiring offices in Manchester City Centre, this Online E-Commerce brand have an urgent requirement for SQL developers on a 6-month contractual basis. You will work on a business critical migration project, in a real-time live environment. My Client is quoted by Microsoft as having one of the biggest SQL Server estates in the world, and take more transactions on an average Saturday, than Amazon on a Black Friday.

Technical Skills Required (Essential)

* MINIMUM 5 years' experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server

* Enthusiastic individual with experience of working in a technically challenging, fast-paced environment

* Ability to show initiative in gathering requirements and proficiency in developing complex database solutions from informal specifications

* Experience with large transactional databases (100GB+)

* Excellent TSQL

* Good knowledge of the SQL Database Engine

* Good performance tuning skills (experience of Query Tuning, Indexing, Locking etc.)

Desirable

* Exposure to replication, SSIS and SQL Reporting Services advantageous but not essential
