IT Delivery Lead / Programme Manager

My client are looking for a IT Delivery Lead / Programme Manager to work on the below projects. They are looking for someone with experience in transformation and agile skill set. Someone from a financial background is key, along with delivery experience in running programmes.

Accountabilities:

*Will engage key stakeholders and Head of Programme Delivery to identify and agree the key project objectives and benefits for the work programme.

*Responsible for the major project deliverables, maintaining the overall delivery sprints across multiple areas to ensure effective delivery within budget and to the agreed timescales, quality and benefits realisation requirements.

*Lead and matrix manage assigned technical to the client and 3rd party teams.

*Effectively manage the delivery of outcomes/value for the lab taking into account the needs of stakeholders, technical strategy, costs, benefits and delivery requirements.

*Negotiate high value deals with 3rd party suppliers for the provision of services and manage the relationship to agreed service level and cost.

*Promote and embed Scrum & Beyond and Agile frameworks in line with Group Project Management Standards.

*Provide guidance and steer on technical feasibility/options/solutions to deliver agreed requirements. This will include identifying emerging Mobile technologies that are applicable.

*Proactively identifies threats to project delivery and the clients-wide risks, escalating to Lab Delivery Lead and instigating recovery action to assure project delivery.

*Provide co-ordinated management to the clients multiple-wide projects ensuring that the balance between delivery time, delivery cost, quality assurance and benefit yield are optimized.

*Co-ordinates and manage Group-wide communications ensuring the overall project objectives are clear and visible to both colleagues and key stakeholders.

Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:

A proven track record of delivering the major projects to time, cost, quality and benefits realisation requirements

Experience in leading Agile (Scrum) teams

Consistently demonstrates the behavioural and project management competency levels required for the role.

Excellent organisation, communication, presentation, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Strong awareness capability for multiple projects with financial and non-financial benefits.

Project and operational risk management capability

Credible performer in senior executive forums.

Understanding of the significance of IT infrastructure and/or Application change in a large financial services environment and familiarity with technology strategy and architectural concepts for technology direction.

Proven ability to assimilate, understand and manage problem solving and opportunities recognition in the context of IT Infrastructure and/or Application change solution concept, solutioning, design and deployment in a major financial services environment.

Proven track record of implementing & leading improvements in project lifecycle.

Able to identify projects at risk and take appropriate action to recover, often working across divisional boundaries.

Takes ownership for the resolution of highly complex issues and risks that have been escalated.

Qualification (or equivalent experience) in management and/or formal project/programme management qualification.

Ability to perform at a Gold Rating as defined by CAT.

Technical background preferred (i.e. Developer, Systems Engineer, etc).
