EUMETSAT is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate and the environment, pulling together the resources of 30 Member States. We observe the atmosphere, ocean and land surfaces from Space using a system of satellites, 365 days a year, offering images and data to provide insights into weather situations, environmental hazards and climate change. Our work helps users worldwide to monitor changes in these to protect lives, lifestyles and properties. Developing the next generation of satellites, we look to shape our future.

This is an opportunity for you to join our Systems Operations Team and use your project planning skills as we plan and schedule both current and future satellite operations. With your excellent communication and team skills, you will coordinate the activities on the ground segment systems supporting all of our satellite programmes, ensuring that maintenance and evolutions are harmonised with ongoing operations to minimise disruption to services, balance workload an maximise delivery of products to our users. You will anticipate, spot and overcome planning and scheduling conflicts, often independently, in a complex operational environment.

Using your analytical skills, you will measure our progress against performance indicators and use multi-channels to keep our partners up to date with plans and schedules. You will also provide support to new programmes as they transition into operations.

If you have experience in managing multiple resources and projects across complex operational systems and environments, and enjoy the challenge of managing the conflicting demands on resources, we would like to hear from you.

We can offer you the chance to work in an international environment, with team members and partners from our Member states and beyond. We have attractive employment conditions, with a competitive salary, comprehensive health and social welfare provision, and extensive relocation assistance, if applicable.

The closing date is 13th March. Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing w/c 23rd April.

EUMETSAT is committed to providing an equal opportunities work environment for men and women and is seeking to recruit nationals from its Member States. Please see our website for further details.
