Lead Java Developer

Salary: Up to £55,000 Location: Cheshire

Type: Permanent Technology: Java

They are looking for a Lead Java Developer who are excited by coding, interested in DevOps and are passionate about user experience. From the initial concept to the implementation of ideas you will be responsible for the features that create the user experience.

Technical requirements for this role:

* Java

* Javascript

* Jquery

* HTML

* CSS

* Angular JS

* J2EE frameworks (such as Spring and Hibernate)

* Knowledge of the end to end software development lifecycle

* Use of methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall

* Experience leading a team

Your role will consist of:

* Technical Consultancy and Requirements Gathering (25%)

* Technical Development (Design, Build, Unit Test) (25%)

* Stakeholder & Project Management (25%)

* Team Leadership and Staff Development (15%)

* Application Management (10%)

Educational qualification

* BSc degree in relevant software engineering discipline, equivalent to UK 2nd class honours

* Formal qualification in area of specialism, e.g. Sun Java certification (beneficial).

You will be leading system engineering activity and become responsible for all changes to multiple applications and products across the software development lifecycle. You will need to maintain an in depth technical understanding of all the products and be able to have system specific knowledge.
