Linux System Administrator Our globally recognised, highly respected client is looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join their team based near Cambridge on a permanent basis. The Linux System Administrator will be joining a house-hold name who pride themselves on being a close-knit team. Linux System Administrator - Role Scope: The Infrastructure and Platform Services team currently provides Infrastructure services for around 750 Linux and Windows VMs and dedicated hardware where appropriate, and centralised storage and backup services. The current generation of VMs are provided by VMWare clusters, with SAN storage, a dedicated storage network and backup services operating across multiple data centres. Automated installation and deployment is via Ansible with role patterns developed, consolidated and maintained by this team. The Infrastructure and Platform team also provide common tooling and platform services that system integrators and developers require. The team is looking to evolve its offerings and automation support, and lead on the architectural topics for the community of developers and system developers in UIS. Topics in the early stages of growth are container deployment, and AWS deployment. Linux System Administrator - Key Skills:
