We are currently recruiting for an Implementation Consultant at our office in Altrincham with a focus on migrating customer data into our Altair system. The main purpose of the role is to review and understand client IT/Business requirements, recommend how best they can be supported and work closely with the customer and our internal subject matter experts to facilitate successful implementation projects.

Job Description

- Review and understand client IT/Business requirements in respect of pension schemes and recommend how best they can be supported

- For new clients and for the addition of new schemes or portfolios of business for existing clients, review existing client scheme structures, system(s) and products, map existing system processes and data to our products and identify possible enhancements and/or conversion strategies and audit process

- Review and understand client processes and procedures, map these to product functionality and identify possible system enhancements

- Define and document business requirements to the Company’s standards

- Plan, document and perform Quality Assurance Testing of software and configuration solutions

- Support client User Acceptance Testing

- Provide client post-implementation support/consultancy as required

- Help clients prepare for future legislative and strategic change

- Maintain accurate time recording to ensure time is allocated appropriately

The Implementation Consultant could perform the project role of Lead Consultant, as part of this they could have supervisory/ownership responsibility such as:

- Direct the team of consultants assigned to the project

- Define and communicate the tasks to be completed on each work stream

- Track progress of the tasks on each work stream against timescale and quality constraints

- Travel to client sites as required - currently UK & Ireland

Key Job Responsibilities

- To provide consultancy in respect of product implementations, from initial feasibility study through to full client implementation, training and post-implementation support

- To provide support to clients in defining additional requirements and optimising their implementation

- To generate revenue through establishing and maintaining good client relationships and promoting the growth of new business from those clients

- To add value to products and services and provide support for clients in their use and usage of additional features of newer releases of our products

Work Experience

Essential

- Experience in data migration, interrogation and reconciliation techniques, for example SQL and advanced Excel

- Educated to degree level or experienced Consultant

- Exposure to IT projects in an Consultant, Analysis or User implementation role

Desirable

- Understanding of regulatory regimes in UK, Ireland or other countries for pension schemes and/or payroll processing.

- Project/client management skills and experience

- Experience with an alternative Life, Investment or Pensions administration system
