Cloud Engineer, DevOps, AWS, Linux, Python, Terraform, Puppet, Agile

A Cloud Engineer is required by our client - a world leader in developing information solutions located in central London. The Cloud Engineer will be part of companywide / worldwide projects to develop the core platforms and tools for the organisation. The Cloud Engineer will have a leading role and the chance to work alongside other talented Cloud Engineers in these exciting global cloud projects!

The Cloud Engineer will situated in modern offices in the centre of London, working in a fast-paced Agile environment with access to the latest tools and technologies.

The Cloud Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

                               Work on cloud infrastructure architecture, balancing performance and resilience with cost

                               Deliver TIO strategy in partnership with the business platforms needs

                               Create a set of tools that enable developers to self-serve for most operational tasks

                               Play a role in defining, and building enterprise platform tools

                               Be involved in building and maintaining an auditing and reporting estate that provides all relevant information on current and historic working state of infrastructure

The Cloud Engineer should have the following skills:

                               Strong experience with AWS

                               Experience with Terraform and Python

                               Worked in an agile environment before

                               Linux experience at scale

                               Able to write terraform modules

                               Understanding of coding practices and of DRY principles

                               Experience with configuration management using Puppet

                               Continuous Integration systems using Hudson or Jenkins

                               Experience with Git

                               CDN and internet networking experience

                               Security and compliance understanding

                               Develop solutions, taking into consideration the needs of multiple stakeholders

Our client are looking for a technical Cloud Engineer who is enthusiastic, determined with drive to succeed.

This Cloud Engineer role is based in central London and has excellent public transport links (tube, bus etc.) The Cloud Engineers may have been involved in DevOps Engineering positions, come from a background in Software Engineering or Linux Administration.
