Solution Architect

Solihull  

Up to £70,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Extensive Benefits Package  

Our client is a global provider of technology systems and solutions across the entire insurance industry where we provide core technology solutions, distribution and trading capability, advanced analytics and solution delivery across a global customer base.  

They are looking for a Solution Architect who will be responsible in shaping, governing and designing the Technology Solutions provided by the company to its customers, and ensuring alignment with customer business goals and customers and our client’s IT Strategy is being delivered.  

As a Solution Architect, our client is looking for a visionary who can get involved in digital strategy, R&D, Technology Stack overview and architecting solutions across multiple applications that integrate across a variety of systems.  

As a Solution Architect you will:  

- Provide technical leadership and guidelines  

- Analyse business processes and requirements  

- Identify new and emerging hardware and software technologies and products  

- Use appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces  

- Produce component overview specifications and translate these into high level designs for implementation using selected products  

- Assist in the preparation of technical plans and co-operate with business assurance and project staff 

- Provide governance on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.)  

- Support business change, acting as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders, facilitating relationships between them 

- Work with key customer stakeholders and company resources to define, agree and oversee implementation of a technical solution that is fit for purpose  

- Working with the customer to consider the impact of the new solution on their enterprise, including service risks/dimensions and TCO and ensure that any impact and changes required are fully documented, communicated and accounted.  

- Define, develop and deliver processes and systems  

- Create a compelling vision of a future target state and the route map to get there in manageable steps.  

- Validate architecture designs against business objectives and the target architecture of the customer.  

- Understand the technical options available for delivering solutions to business problems and requirements
