Software Engineer - Mapping

I have an urgent requirement for two Software Engineers with Mapping experience for my rapidly growing and extremely well funded client within the autonomous vehicle sector. The role is based in Cambridge and you will work in the mapping and localisation team. The team mainly focuses on integrating both online and offline map data throughout our software stack efficiently and will collaborate with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as AI, robotics, mechatronics, planning, control, localisation, computer vision, simulation, distributed computing and automated testing.

REQUIREMENTS

* You ideally will have a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or a related field from a world-class university.

* You are fluent in modern C++ and have worked with C++ in a large software project.

* You have experience with GIS and usage of maps in a software system. Experience with OpenStreetMap or Ordnance Survey is useful.

* You have extensive experience with algorithms and data structures to perform map queries efficiently.

* Experience with probabilistic modelling, sensor fusion and/or SLAM algorithms is a plus.

* Experience with ROS is a plus.

* Experience with machine learning is a plus.

* You've experience of the full software development lifecycle within a fast moving and innovative industry.
