Java Developer - Disruptive InsureTech Start-Up

Java Developer (Microservices, AWS, API's). A Java Developer is required by a disruptive Insuretech start-up in central London. You would be focusing on continuing to develop their core underwriting platform predominantly focused on Java and Groovy, in a full stack capacity with AngularJS at the front end. You'll be a Java Developer that is looking to work collaboratively in an agile team that is very keen on clean code, TDD, Automated Testing and Continuous Integration/Delivery. The software you write will employ a Microservices based architecture, and you'll be exposed to both building and consuming Restful API's.

We are looking for a Java Developer due to a period of growth that far surpassed expectations. Therefore, you'll be joining at a crucial time for the team as the platform is now undergoing a period of re-engineering in order to scale across new customers. This would see you working on very interesting proof of concepts (currently working on a Microservices POC), employing new technologies and techniques to help avoid bottle necks in the code and to ensure code performance meets expectations, as well as a transition to the cloud that is just about to get underway.

We would like to speak with a Java Developer that has a reasonable cross section of the following skills and experiences:

* Strong underlying knowledge of Java, Groovy or other dynamic JVM languages

* Knowledge of Spring or other common JVM frameworks

* Experience working with either building or consuming Restful API's

* Javascript knowledge with AngularJS, ReactJS or other common frameworks

* Bonus experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery or AWS would be beneficial

Key details for this Java Developer position:

* Salary: £80,000 to £100,000
