Innovative energy provider is seeking a Software Developer you will use your Java / Scala knowledge to work on a Greenfield project delivering a cloud based platform that reports real-time data from hundreds of thousands of smart meters. You will use a range of modern technologies (including Java 8, Scala, AKKA, Cassandra and Spark) to work on a number of interesting and challenging projects.

Requirements:

*Strong Java 8 and Scala skills

*Previously built high performance systems

*Experience with high volume transactional web based systems

*Knowledge of Data Structures, algorithms, OOP and SOA

*Good understanding of REST, JSON, XML and integration frameworks (Spring, Camel, Mule)

*Excellent communication skills

*Desirable: AKKA, Hadoop, Spark
