Java Developer / Full Stack Software Engineer. Work on complex and interesting data centric systems as part of a friendly team with a good work / life balance and smart casual dress code.

As a Java Developer you will work across the full development lifecycle on a range of Greenfield development projects. You'll be working closely with data scientists to solve complex, real world business problems and on bespoke platform development and data visualisations. The tech stack is based on Java 7 with a JavaScript front end. There's lots of scope to bring your own ideas and help shape the future of the product with time set aside for you to research algorithms, programming and databases.

Excellent opportunity to join this successful software house that produces a suite of Business Intelligence tools, providing data analytics, insight and visualisations to a broad range of clients including investment banks, retail brands and telcos.

Requirements:

*Strong core Java development experience within a data intensive environment

*Strong knowledge of algorithms

*Good understanding of distributed, scalable systems using messaging systems such as RabbitMQ / JMS

*Knowledgeable about database and data storage technologies

*Entrepreneurial spirit

*Collaborative team member with great communication skills

*Degree educated, Computer Science preferred

*Desirable: JavaScript, Spark, AKKA, algorithm design / analysis, AWS, containerisation
