Machine Learning Engineer

My client is currently looking for a talented machine learning engineer to be part of their growing team.

The role itself is quite a diverse one due to the nature of the business;

Responsibilities and Performance Objectives

* Take ownership of a significant part of the team's solution development

* Demonstrate end-to-end understanding of applications (including, but not limited to, the ML algorithms) being created

* Partner with ML researchers to push the boundaries on the performance of the latest methods applied to big problems within domains of insurance / investments

* Contribute to Peer Review process to ensure code quality

* Play an active role in the development and delivery of the team's technology roadmap, and the design and delivery of necessary trainings and workshops.

The minimum required skills include:

* Self-motivated and creative; we're building new products from ground up, not tweaking legacy

* Ability to formalize learning problems with mathematical notation

* Hands-on experience solving machine learning problems

* Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures

* Detailed knowledge of ML evaluation metrics and best-practice

* Strong Python coding skills plus experience of a typed language (e.g., C++ and Java)

* Up to date knowledge of ML literature

* Good communicator and team player
