VLE Specialist (with technical experience in Moodle/Alfresco)

The Defence Learning and Management Capability (DLMC) - Defence Learning (DLE) Discovery and Options ASDT project requires a VLE Specialist resource with technical experience and understanding of Moodle/Alfresco configuration and implementation to support the development of a Discovery and Options Report focused on the transition of Defence Learning Environment (DLE) services, delivery of a replacement capability and other options that may be identified.

The resource will be a Moodle and Alfresco product specialist who will provide guidance for the analysis of data migration, hardware/software transition, supportability/maintainability and future proofing to support the transition strategy options analysis and planning. The resource will provide input on key risks, issues, opportunities, assumptions and dependences. An understanding of agile principles is required.

The resource will be part of a small team, consisting of a Application/Solution Architect and a Business Analyst (both full time), and an HR Specialist (part time) on an 8 week project.

The role requires working onsite at customer sites (Shrivenham, Corsham, and Andover), and interaction with a number of stakeholders in Service Design, Operations, Delivery and Learning Environments and Delivery.
