Linux Systems Engineer, PHP, AWS, Debian, DevOps - JY/4868

A DevOps Engineer is required to be part of an Exciting Video Gaming and Media Company based in Oxford and work on some of the best projects in the country.

Working on Award Winning and Globally Recognised Software and Media, this a rare opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join the business and work with Ground Breaking Technology.

What does the successful DevOps applicant need?

The successful DevOps Engineer will come from a strong academic background, with a STEM degree, or equivalent industry experience. The DevOps Engineer will also work with manager requirements and show resourcefulness in proposing and applying improvements to existing setups.

In addition, the DevOps Engineer’s responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining, expanding and improving existing CI

- Testing and deployment of web applications and services

- Work on server infrastructure

- Ensure the highest possible availability of live systems

The DevOps Engineer will ideally bring the following attributes and experience:

- Linux server administration (Debian familiarity desirable)

- Scripting skills (BASH/Perl/Python or PHP)

- Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Salt, Chef or similar

- Deploying and configuring PHP and some Java applications

- Virtualisation technologies such as Xen, VirtualBox, Vagrant

- AWS (desirable) or other cloud technologies
