VMware Automation Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with good experience in virtual workspaces and a variety of infrastructure technologies. Our client is a well-known financial institution in Zurich and is looking to hire on contract-basis.

Tasks

* Design and Engineering of the global vRealize Automation Infrastructure

* Integration of globally distributed infrastructure endpoints

* Development and documentation of new workflows, blueprints and catalogs together with the subject matter experts

* Continuous development and enhancement of the current IaaS and XaaS offering

* Debugging and troubleshooting of existing workflows and Interfaces in vRA

* 3rd level troubleshooting and support in case of vRA related incidents and problems

Requirements

* Experience as a System Engineer or similar, especially with VMware vRealize Automation, including the creation of blueprints, publishing of catalogs, design of new workflows, integration of infrastructure endpoints

* Good professional experience with Infoblox, vCenter, Netapp, HDS, AIX LPAR, Windows development services, Satellite, Puppet, AD, F5 or Cisco hardware

* Good skills in Shell Scripts, Powershell Scripts, Java Scripts, Ruby, Python

* Experience in integrating infrastructure endpoints with different protocols like SOAP, REST, SSH, Powershell remoting

* Profound knowledge of IT infrastructure environments like Redhat Linux, Microsoft Windows, VMware, network, load balancer, storage, Puppet

* Excellent English, written and spoken

Start date: ASAP

Length of contract: until 31.12.2018 (optional extension)
