A cutting-edge team of Java Engineers are seeking a new Team Lead who can provide them with guidance whilst resolving complex problems to their real-time engines.

This VP level Java role is a business critical position because the derivative data engineering team provide real-time access to critical deal information down to a millisecond. Therefore, this opportunity would be a great for someone looking to absorb the responsibility of guiding a small team whilst still being a hands on Java Engineer, as it also allows you to see a true overview of the impact both yourself and the team have on the business.

Qualifications needed for the VP Java Developer position:

* Proficient use of Java

* Exposure to Big Data systems, such as Hadoop technology stack

* Proven success using Sybase and/or SQL

* Have a passion for technology that will enable you to guide others whilst being a hands-on developer

Preferred attributes for the VP Java Developer position:

* Working knowledge of frameworks such as Spring

* A functioning understanding of a Financial Services business platform

* Be familiar with cache systems such as Apache Kafka
