Your Role:

The Head of IT Engagement for Sales and Marketing leads the IT Engagement function, acting as the Front Door, for our sales and marketing stakeholders. The IT Engagement Team for Sales and Marketing has been formed to provide a single entry point to ensure consistency of engagement between IT and our Sales and Marketing directorates.

The role of IT Head of Engagement for Sales and Marketing is a critical role to ensure effective demand management and annual planning is done.

The job holder will lead a team of approx. 34 permanent people (augmented with managed services), consisting of the following areas; Engagement Managers, Solution Architects and Business Analysts

Responsibilities:

-Lead IT Engagement Team for Sales and Marketing by being responsible for the relationship between IT and the Sales and Marketing directorates and will own all Product and Services demand

-Own the in-year IT Portfolio Capex roadmap on behalf of Sales and Marketing and ensure that all stakeholders have full visibility of current and prospective demand

-Engagement will work closely with IT Delivery in order to ensure that Projects and Programmes are initiated successfully and provide a seamless handover between Engagement & IT Delivery

-Drive forward the IT Engagement function through early visibility of demand , where projects are effectively resourced

-Financial Management and Budgeting; supporting the PMO and Finance by aligning Capex allocations to agreed demand, financial reporting of budget actuals and forecasts against IT Portfolio Capex initiatives

-Lead the annual IT Capex budget cycle process on behalf of IT and co-ordinate across non IT Capex

-Manage the operational expenditure budget for the IT Engagement team

-Manage relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the business, acting as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise

-Provide leadership and management to the IT Engagement team, either via direct or indirect management

-Define and embed the strategy, structure and ways of working and toolset for the team, ensuring the team look to continually improve the services provided to customers

Skills & experience:

-Exceptional track-record of IT leadership where service, quality & security is a priority

-Experience of IT management at scale, strategic and operational, within a high transaction volume and high availability environment

-Experience of leading an IT demand management /PMO / business engagement/delivery function (ideally within a blue chip or IT Consultancy)

-Highly developed internal/external stakeholder management skills, with an ability to develop working relationships very quickly

-Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial, pragmatic and entrepreneurial environment where pace and execution are a pre-requisite

-Excellent forward planning, organisation skills, communication skills, both orally and written, and a fundamental understanding of relevant business processes

-Strong business and technical consultancy skills to provide a consultative engagement approach to support senior stakeholders with large and complex challengesGrade: PCGS
