PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Improve cross-channel effectiveness, efficiency, experience and customer engagement by understanding business and user requirements and reviewing/designing/documenting target customer journeys at a cross-channel level

* Design flexible, lightweight, and reusable interaction patterns that work cross-browser, cross-device and cross-language

* Design and produce screen layouts, user interface elements with appropriate specifications and documentation

* Conduct research and analysis resulting in browser prototyping and wireframe design

* Review existing customer experiences and work with team to make recommendations/design solutions for improvement based on best practice guidelines and industry standards

* Wireframe high-level user journeys and detail interaction design across browsers and platforms

* Produce visual designs from mockup to full production output

* Review of incoming change projects to ensure the cross-channel impact and opportunity has been considered, and appropriate costs/timescales/resource requirements are scoped

* Attend project meetings, and provide customer experience updates and input as necessary

* Liaise and communicate with channel stakeholders

EXPERIENCE

Required:

An ideal candidate will have visual and interaction design, and some information architecture capabilities.

* 5 Years+ experience as a user experience designer with a strong portfolio (web or desktop application design, website design, mobile design, user interfaces, data visualization or similar)

* Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability and accessibility issues.

* Strong wireframing and workflow experience

* Experience in interaction design and its impact on different platforms/devices

* Strong HTML, JavaScript & CSS abilities

* Strong command of design related programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, Sketch and Invision. Also some knowledge of Premiere, AfterEffects and 3d Max or similar could be beneficial.

* Knowledge of web-based technologies and frameworks and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions

* Experienced in gathering and clarifying stakeholder requirements

* Ability to produce visual elements and assets for front-end developers and engineers

* Experience creating or maintaining interface guidelines in a web or software environment.

* Design experience in mobile and tablet space

* Experience in creating information graphics and digital illustrations

* Ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines concurrently

* Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision

* Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work and communicate, both oral and written, effectively with business and technical people at all levels

* Attention to detail, strong emphasis on quality, Customer Experience and Customer Satisfaction

* Flexible and pro-active approach to tasks

Preferred:

* Relevant degree education

* Desired experience in creating animated and video content for web, mobile to HD broadcast quality.

Desirable:

* Experience of financial services sector
