Senior Developer / Technical Lead (Python Django AWS). Head up a team of talented engineers working with the latest technologies at a growing technology start-up.
As a hands-on Senior Developer / Technical Lead you will take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from understanding the customer and gathering requirements through to solution design, implementation and delivery. You'll make the technical decisions and help to mentor and guide less experienced engineers, setting best practice and striving for continual improvement.
The core product allows business users to capture data via integrated mobile services utilising video analytics and speech recognition to analyse and categorise meeting discussions, presentations and conferences. The technology stack is based on an AWS cloud platform, Android Java and iOS Swift mobile apps, React frontend with Django on Python and PostgreSQL. There's the ability to move fast and experiment by applying good API design principles between components and using microservices.
Requirements:
*Strong full stack software engineering background with current Python and Django skills
*Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
*SQL databases (PostgreSQL ideally)
*Message queues such as SQS, RabbitMQ
*Technical leadership experience, strong planning and organisation skills
*Excellent communicator, able to motivate and encourage others
