My Client, an industry leading proprietary data provider, are looking for a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to join their team. They are a leading company in their field, providing data analytic tools to the biggest names in the Financial Sector, like the London Stock Exchange.
If you've got a background in Software Development then this could be a great next step for you! You can put your technical knowledge to use in a client-facing role, as well as have full involvement in the business and it's success. Progression opportunities for this position are endless, whether its management or sales you wish to go into. A previous Pre-Sales consultant has been promoted within his first 2 years at the company and now has his own team in London and in New York!
As a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant you will be a specialist within the industry and with the technology that they are building. You will use this knowledge and your architectural experience to advise their clients on how to successfully implement this technology in their business.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Understanding the client data and mapping, to ensure the technology fits a proprietary format
-Educating prospects about the use, features and integration of the technology
-Discuss the architecture, system components, business integration options and any technical objections they may have
As a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant, as well as having previous experience with programming and architecture, it would also be great if you had experience in the securities industry and equities (OMS/EMS data, workflow, transaction costs analysis and market micro structure). In particular they are looking for candidates who have experience with one/some of the following systems:
-Fidessa
-Sunguard
-Trading Screen
-Thomson Reuters
-Bloomberg
-Morning Star
This role is salaried at up to £90,000 alongside a host of benefits, whilst working at their brand new office in the heart of London.
