EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER NEEDED FOR A MARKET LEADING UAV SPECIALIST | PAYING UP TO £65K + BENS!

I'm currently looking for a Software Engineer to join a small and enthusiastic UK team developing market leading UAV systems.

My client is a growing and dynamic company based in Oxfordshire. They are currently designing and building Software/Hardware for two major products. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in hardware and software development skills, although the software skills are more important.

My client is looking for a talented C++ Software Engineer that can help take their applications to the next level. You will be working across different products, both internal R&D and shipped apps, tackling a wide range of problems from 3D simulations using commercial game engines to the drone's human-machine-interface app.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and expand the capabilities of in-house simulation system

* Contribute to the development of the remote-control apps for our range of products

* Contribute to the development of other internal R&D tools

* Propose and implement improvements to the existing code base

* Work closely with other teams and the clients. Take requirements, plan their implementation and deliver working software in a timely manner

* Contribute to testing and debugging all applications

Key Experience

* Very good knowledge of C++

* Good debugging and problem-solving skills

* Good knowledge of 3D math and Linear Algebra

* Experience developing on mobile platforms, preferably Android

* Experience developing and debugging multi-threaded applications

* Performance optimization

* Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: game development, realistic simulations of physical systems, 3D graphics, UI development, machine learning, networking

* Exposure to the full software development cycle

Desirable skills

* Experience with Unreal Engine 4

* Experience developing UIs with Qt and QML

* Good knowledge of Windows and Linux

* Knowledge of MATLAB
